Financial Planning Associate


We are seeking a Financial Planning Associate who is passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals. This is not a sales role; the Financial Planning Associate will play a key role in proactively taking care of current and future clients to assist them with their long-term financial goals.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide planning and research support to the firm’s Wealth Management Advisor.
  • Maintain client relationships by developing and deepening connections with each family. Provide exceptional client service through in-person, phone, and email communications.
  • Attend client meetings, take detailed notes, follow up, and correspond with clients.
  • Participate in planning meetings and translate those discussions into a strategy for data collection and analysis to help drive financial planning efforts.
  • Complete accurate financial plans using financial planning software.
  • Perform complex analysis of planning strategies, risks, and opportunities in the areas of retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, cash flow planning, asset allocation, and asset protection.
  • Master the implementation of client planning strategies.
  • Produce client deliverables in a timely, accurate, and informative manner.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC/Firm regulations and fulfill educational requirements.
  • Cultivate relationships with other professionals and strategic partners.

Qualifications:

  •  BA or BS in business, finance, or similar; advanced degree/designation preferred (e.g., MBA, CFP®, CPA).
  • Enrolled or willingness to enroll in CPA, CFP®, or CFA Certification Program.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a financial planner with client facing and financial planning experience.
  • FINRA Series 66 registration.
  • Familiarity with Fidelity and/or Schwab custodial platforms preferred.
  • Strong understanding and ability to communicate financial planning concepts.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, financial planning software, and basic CRM systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
